There are many great restaurants in the area, both near our condo, as well as in downton Puerto Vallarta. We have encouraged our guests to write their honest opinions about places they have eaten. Also don't forget to check out the onsite restaurants, La Casona and La Parilla. March 2007 - Mark's Bar & Grill - 3 out of 5 The atmosphere at this little rstaurant was great. We sat out on the back patio. The upscale food was just OK in our opinion. Bucerias location makes it a good option by short cab ride. March 2007 - Cardinalli's Italian Restaurant - 5 out of 5 Located just on the other side of Villa Del Palmar, this Italian place is in the Playa Del Sol resort. Food was AWESOME! We had the pasta primavera and spaghetti carbonara and both were excellent. Service was good and it is an excelled value. Both of us got 'to go' boxes. Highly recommended! March 2007 - Pie in the Sky - 5 out of 5 If you love chocolate and dessert, this bakery is heavenly. The 'Besos' chocolate lava centered brownies and cheesecakes are excellent. The frozen chicken pot pies are a great option to take home and bake. On main road (Mexico 200) in Bucerias. March 2007 - Vitea Oceanfront Bistro - 5 out of 5 Located near the south end of the Malecon boardwalk in Puerto Vallarta, this bistro has a great view and excellent food. The prices were reasonable too. We've also heard that the owners of Vitea also own Trio in Puerto Vallarta which is also supposed to be excellent. March 2007 - Bella Vista Breakfast Buffet - 4 out of 5 We gave this 4 stars (instead of 5) because it is expensive. However, they have a great breakfast selection at the buffet and the food was good. The outdoor tables have a great ocean view. Located next door at the Villa Del Palmar (VDP).
